I used this as a connection between and LCD HDTV and a laptop equipped with HDMI out. Since I use my laptop in many places, the HDMI cable was dis/connected on a daily basis. Even though I was careful, within weeks I noticed the connector becoming loose and my connection became spotty, I had to twist and pry the cord a little like I'm trying to tune an analogue tv antenna and then pray it continued to work when I let go. Finally, the connection died completely and I was without HDMI connection.
