Windows 7 Asus laptop unfortunately w/o built in bluetooth. First I tried that really cheap dongle for a few bucks on Amazon. Did not work. Then ponied up for this adapter. totally worth it. Logitech mouse worked flawlessly as did my jawbone headset with skype. Very unobstrusive and no annoying bright LEDs. (subtle light).
I did install the software on the mini CD first.Get more detail about IOGear USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter GBU421.
