The Ibex has all of the features that the Synergy had with the exception of having shallower side zip pockets. It would be the perfect bag for me if it had the deeper pockets. But what the Ibex does have that drove me crazy on the Synergy is that it has dual zippers for it's compartments that was a big plus for me. All in all a great product and worth the price. Unlike soft pads, this mousepad won't get permanently filthy-- you just wipe it clean.
