First, let me admit that I am far from being an audiophile of any kind. I know people who can pick out and compare the most subtle nuances of sound, and I'm not one of them. If the sound is pretty clear and doesn't give me the impression that I'm listening to my music through a tin can and two strings, then I'm usually happy with it. So as for the sound quality, all I can say is, it sounds great to me. Music, videos and games all sound pretty clear and what I'd expect, so no complaints.
Where you might or might not like these headphones is more aligned with their design.
The headphones are quite large, with big, heavily padded earphones and a removable mic. In a day and age where everyone is walking around with minimalist-style "earbuds", I think that many people would view the sheer bulk of these headphones as a huge negative. The headphones themselves are quite light, but still, unless you were born before the 80's/90's and remember the warm comforting grip of big headphones, you may feel like you are wearing a helmet. Personally, I enjoy this type of headphones.
As I mentioned, the earcups are big and heavily padded. This makes them very comfy on the head, but the downside is that they are also very warm, and I find my head/ears start to sweat after a while. These are not the headphones you want to be wearing on a hot, humid day. On the other hand, I live in MN, and these will be quite nice when the weather turns cold.
Another feature to consider is the removable mic. This is the first time I've seen a mic setup that lets you unplug it, and that's nice. But again, this depends on what you are used to, and what you use it for. The problem with a swing up mic is that it can look very dorky, especially if you just intend to listen to music and not record anything. The cord also can tend to catch on them. But it is nice to be able to switch to using a mic simply by flipping it down. The removable mic is a nice touch, and fixes the dork-factor here. It is also nice that it allows you to position the mike, which is something a lot of current swing-up mics don't allow. The downside here is that the mic can easily get lost, and if you want it, you have to go and grab it first, which may be tough in the middle of a game of Warcraft :)
All in all, I have no problem recommending these headphones, they are what they advertise, so the question of whether or not they are the right ones for you is largely based on your personal preferences.Get more detail about
