My mac mini only came with firewire 800 so i got this cable to convert it to firewire 400. It works, I am happy with it. My 2nd generation iPod charges and syncs as if it were a regular firewire cable.Get more detail about Oyen Digital FireWire 800 to 400 9-to-6-pin Cable (9pin 6pin) - 4ft.
